Suggested way to install Mac
FLAMP, FLARQ, FLDIGI and / or FLMSG;
and, configure FLDIGI to auto-launch FLMSG

Notes:
01. All, but one, Finder Window Snapshots are in List View. The second Pictorial below, is the exception.
02. All Application Names show below include the .app Extension. If you do not see such on your Macintosh, ignore the .app references.

If you desire to see the .app Extension after all your Applications Names - Make Finder the front most Process and select the Finder - Preferences... Menu Item. Next, click the Advanced Toolbar Icon; and then, place a Check Mark in the Show all filename extensions Check Box. Finally, click in the red Close Window Button.

01. Locate and open your Downloads Folder.

02. Double click on either flamp-2.1.00.dmg, fldigi-3.21.73.dmg, or flmsg-1.1.32.dmg File individually (the Version Number of your Applications may differ); or, select all three (3) .dmg Files and double click on any one selected.

Up to three (3) Disk Images Icons will appear along the upper right Side of the Screen, and up to three (3) Windows
[ one (1) for each Disk Image ] will also appear.

03. Close the Downloads Folders' Window, to reduce Screen Clutter; and, move the Disk Image(s) Windows to the left Side of the Screen.

04. In Finder open the Applications Folder.

You can open the Applications Folders' Window by (1) selecting the Finder - Go, Applications Menu Item; or (2) pressing, and keep pressed, the Command and shift Keys, at the same time, and then tap the A Key; then, release the Keys. ( See the last two (2) Graphics below, for assistance. )

The Applications Folders' Window will appear.

05. Drag the Applications Window to the right Side of the Screen.

06. Drag the Contents from each Disk Image Window onto the Applications Window.

Shown, outlined, below is the result of dragging flamp-2.1.00.app, flarq-4.3.4.app, fldigi-3.21.73.app, and flmsg-1.1.32.app onto the Applications Window.

07. Since the Disk Image(s) is / are no longer needed - locate and select the Disk Image(s) at the upper right Side of the Screen.
08. Do a contextual click [ Right Mouse Button if right handed, Left Mouse Button if left handed ] on the selected Disk Image if a single Disk Image; or any one, if multiple Disk Images - and then select and click on, the Eject Menu Item.

The Disk Image(s) will disappear.

09. In the Applications Window locate and click once on flmsg-1.1.32.app.

10. Click again on flmsg-1.1.32.app, or press the return Key.

The Name of the Application is now editable - less the .app Extension.

11. Press the Right Arrow Key, →, once. and then tap, a number of times, the delete key until only flmsg.app is displayed.

12. Press the return Key once to exit the File Name edit mode.

13. Launch fldigi-3.21.73.app, and move its Window to the left.
14. Select the Configure, Misc Menu Item.. The Fldigi configuration Dialog Box will appear.

Please note: Some time after fldigi-3.21.73.app (the current Version is 4.0.11 - as of 17.10.2017),
the Configure, Misc Menu has changed. The new Step 14. is below.

14. Select the Configure, Miscellaneous Menu's Misc SubMenu Item. The Fldigi configuration Dialog Box will appear.

15. Click on the Fldigi configuration Dialog Box NBEMS Tab.

The Area beneath the Tabs will refresh.

16. If not already 'checked' place a Check Mark in the NBEMS data file interface Section Enable Check Box, and in the Reception of flmsg files Section Open with flmsg Check Box.
17. Place the Mouse Cursor over, but - do not click on, flmsg in the Finder - Applications Window.

18. Press, and keep pressed, the Mouse Button - and drag the flmsg.app Application Icon, onto the fldigi - Fldigi configuration Dialog Box flmsg: Text Edit Field; then, release the Mouse Button.

19. Locate a Spot on the Fldigi configuration Dialog Box, any Grey Area Spot - as shown below, and click the Mouse Button. This makes sure that fldigi is the front most Application.

20. Place the Mouse Cursor to the right of /Applications/flmsg.app in the flmsg: Text Edit Field, the Mouse Cursor will change to an Text Insertion 'I' Bar; and click the Mouse Button once.

21. Enter /Contents/MacOS/flmsg into the flmsg: Text Edit Field.

22. Click on the Save Button.

23. Click on the Close Button.

Configuring fldigi to auto-launch flmsg is complete.

What to do if a new Version of flmsg is made available:

01. Trash, and then later delete, the current flmsg Application File from the Finder - Applications Folder Window.

One way to trash the current flmsg Application File - is to contextual click on flmsg, and select and click on the Move to Trash Menu Item, as is shown below.

To delete the Contents of the Trash - select the Finder - Empty Trash Menu Item.

02. Perform Steps 01. through 12. above for the flmsg-x.x.x.dmg File only (where -x.x.x is the Version Number); and, you will no longer have to re-configure fldigi each and every time a new Version of flmsg is made available.

You can now close the Applications Folder Window.
