Samsung Gas Oven turns ON in presence of HF Transmissions |
WARNING - A potentally dangerous Problem exists with Samsung NX58H5650W Gas Ovens turning ON in presence of High Frequency, HF, Transmissions: |
Image transmitting up to 100 Watts on your HF Transceiver, not knowing that your Samsung NX58H5650W Gas Oven had turned ON elsewhere in your House. Well, that is exactly what a fellow Amateur Radio Operator in Williamstown, NJ has been experiencing for the past approx. 6 Months. Various attempts to resolve the Problem - such by way of adding up to a few RF Clamp On Ferrite Chokes on the AC Cord had no effect. Today, 07 Oct. 2019 a Samsung Representative arrived at the House to confirm the Problem; which he did. The Reprsentative then called Samsung and the result of that Conversation was that Samsung will do nothing to resolve the Problem - Period; and, also stated in the Phone Conversion was that the Company has another Department [meaning Samsungs Legal Depart.] to handle such if a Fire occurred. Which reminds me of another local Amateur Radio Operator ... ... in Ridley Park, PA who, currently, still will not operate on 80 Meters - due to a nearby Neighbor's Samsung TV which will turn ON or OFF, change its Audio Volume, and / or change Channels when he transmits. The Source of the TV Problem is the Touch Panel on the Front of the TV Set. No Mµ Shielding! I can only wonder if Samsung employs any form of Mµ Shielding in their Products. Here is one Example of a Number of Samsung Products susceptible to nearby RF Transmissions; and of causing Interfence to nearby Transceivers. |
